1. Davis was Reagan's father-in-law, i.e. Nancy's father.
 

2. Davis had input into Reagan's medical care over a long period, though it is unclear to me if there was a formal doctor-patient relationship.
 

3. Davis was editor of the journal "Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics" for 44 years!
